Jaimie Walden

Jaimie Walden has more than 35 years of formal dance training and more than 20 years of teaching experience. She has owned and operated her own studio for over 16 years, danced for Disney, and was on season 8 So You Think You Can Dance. Recently she was on WBTV channel 3 television series QVC@3, where she was able to tell about Raise the Barre Dance Academy and show off some of her hip hop skills. She is a certified dance instructor through Dance Masters of America. She is certified by 'Test to Teach' and a member of Carolina Dance Masters Chapter 15 since 2005. She is also a certified and licensed Zumba instructor and a certified and licensed Pound Pro and Generation Pound Pro. She is currently working on her certification for PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique). Ms. Walden is also a certified youth fitness trainer through the American Sports and Fitness Association. She also is certified through the Aerial Arts Association for aerial hoop, aerial silks, and preschool acro dance.  Ms. Walden is also working towards her certification for intellidance babies, tykes, tots, and kids where she will be offering classes age 3 months-age 5. She has traveled all over the US competing, running dance competitions and performances, and teaching students of all ages. She has been a judge for several different competitions as well as pageant systems. She sought after a new facility to share her love and passion with others and she found the beautiful city of Newton. After her first year of owning Raise the Barre Dance Academy, she started looking for a larger facility. In April of 2022 she opened a brand new facility in Conover, NC where it is the home of Raise the Barre today. She desires to be the best instructor and role model she can be and is honored to share that opportunity with your family. Welcome to Raise the Barre Dance Academy!!!
